If you've been around for a while, you know that I was on the tour for this book last year. I interviewed Dean and posted a review and it was all good fun and shenanigans. This time, I get to have the honor of hosting the creator of Dean and the great book that is Dracian Legacy, Priya Kanaparti!

Dude, it it’s about time I did an author interview with you. HOW did it take us this long? Ahhhh, welcome to my blog, lovely!
IKR? It’s been more than 9 months since my characters or I stopped by! This must be rectified J. AND thank you for having me over <3.

Okay, first things first. How did you come up with the idea for Dracian Legacy? The magical premise is awesome, and the unique little twist you have on it…me likey.
I was watching Supernatural and gorging on books by JLA and Shelly Crane. And suddenly I came up with the idea for the story. Prior to that I knew I had to write a story for Dean and Ren. I just didn’t know it was going to be supernatural in nature J.

DEAN. (Can you believe it only took me to the second question to ask about him?) I hear he has a favorite person. Whose name may or may not start with a J…tell me about her. And maybe send him her love?
Lol… I believe he calls her ‘Jessers’ – ahem the pure coincidence that your name is Jessica, might or might not have anything to do with it -- and she might have make a debut in Dracian Origins.  Just saying… And as for Love… You’ll find out soon enough when book 2 comes out ;). lol

Describe Dracian Legacy in five words or less, please?
Oh, 5 or less? Action, Romance, steamy-Kissing, Destiny, AND Dean. Lol. Yes I’m VERY biased toward him.

I know I’m always curious about this—how did you come up with the names for your characters? Especially Axel. His name is fantastic (even though I’m on Team Dean).
For Dean, I think it was only natural I gave him the name after Dean Winchester, because my inspiration for Supernatural spurred the idea for DL. As for Axel, Alexander the Great was the inspiration. Not that Axel is short or is power hungry. But it showed the kinda of power Axel does possess.  And I really didn’t want his nick name to be Alex, just seemed sooooo blah. So I mixed up the letters and came up with Axel J.

As for Ren, her name was inspired from the Bones t.v. show. And I wanted something short.

As an author, what are some other authors that you look up to?
Jennifer L Armentrout, Shelly Crane, and my mentor: Krystle Jones.

What’s your favorite thing to do when you’re not writing or reading?
Jay! And yes Jay is  my 3-year-old human child!

What is your favorite book (or a few, if you can’t just pick one)?
Oh, gosh! I’m going to say the Covenant Series by JLA, followed by Significance by Shelly Crane – In supernatrual world and Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire.

What book are you currently reading?
White Hot Kiss by JLA J. I told you I’m obsessed with her!

What are some books that I NEED NEED NEED to add to my TBR?
Oh, gosh? Really? Okay, let’s see. Since I’m biased toward Shelly Crane and JLA, that’s a no brainer, BUT apart from them, I have 3 YA-indie suggestions. Ready?:

The Red Sector Chronicle – Krystle Jones
Ondine Quartet Series – Emma Raveling
Cambion Series – Shannon Dermott FLYNN *sigh*

Can you tell us anything about the sequel to Dracian Legacy?
Expect the unexpected. Like Mind numbing, heart twisting kind of expected. ::ducks::

How about what you’re currently working on? Can you tell me anything about that? Hmmm? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm?
YES YES YES! I can!  So apart from writing book 3 for the Dracian Series, I’m starting edits for Book 2 Dracian series AND my first YA-Contemporary Romance – Forever Kinda Love. It’s about two people that accidently found each other, only to become best friends and later fall in love. But if the story is so straight forward, what fun is it? So there’s going to be some angst, a very swoony competition for the Male MC and an ending that had me crying.

In addition to this, I’m also working on a finishing up the first draft of my next Contemporary romance in NA – Butterfly Pieces.  It might have a non-tattooed bad boy that races and a girl that tries to be good, but fails miserably when she meets Ryker.

All right, on that note, I supposed I should rap this up. Any last little words, Priya? You know, like something Dean may have JUST told you about a little certain somebody? Or something you want to mention that you almost forgot? ANYTHING?
He’s been a bit quite, since Heath’s been taking over—forcefully might I add. But will let you know when Dean’s back in control of my mind. Lol.

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog, Priya, and I CANNOT wait to get my hands on the new version of Dracian Legacy—congrats on the re-release! I’m sure it’s going to be all kinds of awesome.

THANK YOU girlie! It’s always fun doing stuff on your blog! I feel like I’m gushing to my sister every time I talk to you! You’re soooo much fun to do stuff with!
